Last days I ransacked once again YouTube Tutorials. By accident I have clicked this one:

Letztens war ich wieder mal auf YouTube und stöberte einige Tutorials durch, als ich mich in der Vorschlagsliste verklickte. Rein zufällt war es das hier:

Therefore I wanted to introduce a little bit David Gray. His Homepage shows only some of his genius works. Additionally he cares for his teaching Blog regularly. There you may find Tutorials and Explanations for painting with oil colors. So, if you aim to paint photorealistic with oil, there you may find Help for the beginning. Unfortunately you have to practice by yourself. *sigh*

Aus diesem Grund wollte ich heute ein wenig David Grey vorstellen. Seine Homepage zeigt nur einen Teil seiner genialen Arbeit. Zudem pflegt er regelmäßig einenBlog in dem Tutorials und Erklärungen einfügt. Wer also Lust hat, sich in fotorealistischer Ölmalerei zu versuchen, findet dort – denke ich – passende Hilfestellung für den Anfang. Das Üben wird der Blog wohl aber keinem abnehmen. *schnüff*

Santa's yellow snow (Adivse of the week)

Today is he first day, when it began to snow. I mean really snow… Well, after recovering about this shock, my husband and I started discussing about snow, driving cars in this weather, tires, shoes and warm clothes. After 15 min we came to the conclusion, that none of these preparations will work in every case, except one:

Heute ist der erste Tag an dem es schneit. Ich meine richtig schneien… Nachdem ich mich von meinen ersten Schock erholt habe, haben mein Mann und ich angefangen zu philosophieren: Autofahrten mit Schnee, Winterreifen, Schuhe und warme Kleidung. Nach 15 Minuten haben wir aber festgestellt, dass keine Vorsichtsmaßnahme immer funktioniert, außer einer:

Don’t eat yellow snow!

Iß keinen gelben Schnee!

Lillith Hesperax WIP (part1)

It is long long ago, since I have got this WIP in my Hands. It is a GW Darkelf: Lillith Hesperax. I like this one, because it has got a very dynamic Pose. Another point is, that the Model unifies her danger and beauty.

Ein lang verschollenes WIP kam mir wieder unter die Finger. Es ist eine GW Dunkelelfen Figur: Lillith Hesperax. Ich mag diese Figur wegen der dynamischen Pose und der Tatsache, dass sowohl ihre Gefährlichkeit, wie Schönheit in dem Modell vereint sind.

Unfortunately I still hate to paint hair. Unfortunately it looks like that too. Additionally I have chosen a color, that is extreme bad for photos: RED… But I feel satisfied with this stage… until now… comments and critics are welcome

Lieder hasse ich es immer noch Haare zu malen. Was man leider sieht. Zudem habe ich noch eine Farbe gewählt, die extrem schwer abzulichten ist: ROT… Dennoch kann ich mich mit dem jetzigen Zustand anfreuen… bis jetzt…

Brush treatment (Advise of the week)

Treat your brushes as good as your own crown jewels. Keep them clean, store then dry and don’t put them anywhere in, where they don’t belong. This way you will have fun with them for a long time.
